    • File Transfer: Fixed an issue that could prevent file transfer from starting in some cases.

RLX 1.7.0 – 2026-05-21

  • New Features
    • Post FX: A new category of MIDI effects that reshape sequenced notes for playback. Live-played notes pass through untouched.

    • MIDI Delay: A new Post FX that repeats notes at musical intervals, with controls for time, feedback length, accelerating or spreading-out bouncing, and decaying or swelling velocity tails.

    • Manglr: A new Post FX that glitches, stutters, and rhythmically reshapes a clip’s notes — chopping, echoing, scattering, or shuffling them.

    • Harmonizer: A new MIDI FX that adds up to three harmony voices to every note, scale-aware on Melody and Chord tracks.

    • Accumulator: A new per-voice modulator for evolving pitch, velocity, and ratchet over successive triggers.

    • Strumming on Chord Picker: Each chord can now strum with a selectable rate and direction, programmed directly from the chord-picker pads.

    • Clip Infoview: A new on-screen overview of the current clip — routing, modulation slot names, sheet position, follow-up state, and playback status — always visible while you work in the sequencer.

    • Envelope Retrigger: Envelopes can now restart on every note-on instead of holding through overlapping voices.

    • CV Output Standards: Hz/V and 1.2V/Octave CV scaling join the existing 1V/Octave, together with Normal and Inverted gate polarity options.

  • Enhancements
    • Extended Scale Library: Many new scales added, including blues and a range of traditional and non-Western scales.

    • Extended Arpeggiator Rates: Triplet and dotted rates added across all subdivisions, from 1/1 to 1/32.

    • Triplet Quantization Grids: Triplet quantization values are available on the Sequencer, Piano Roll, and Keys pages, making triplet-based note entry easy across all three.

    • Extended Quantization Resolutions: New triplet values (1/4T, 1/8T, 1/16T, 1/32T) join the quantization list alongside the existing straight divisions.

    • Display Calibration: Six display calibration modes are now available, up from three.

    • LFO waveform remapping: Modified the LFO waveform selection to allow easier access to pure waveforms.

    • Song Mode Clip Import: Fixed an issue where an imported clip could repeat the same sheet twice in Song Mode.

    • Stop on External MIDI: Fixed a rare issue where pressing STOP could leave hanging notes on specific external MIDI devices.

    • Quantizer Link Label: Fixed an issue where the Quantizer MIDI effect displayed link activation incorrectly.

  • New Features
    • Ratchets: Steps can repeat multiple times within their duration using a Ratchet parameter.

    • MIDI Import: Standard MIDI Files (SMF) can be transferred to Reliq via USB Host and loaded directly into clips.

    • Import Clips from Other Projects: Import clips from other projects to reuse patterns and ideas.

    • MIDI Export: Export clips or whole projects as Standard MIDI Files (.mid) for external use.

    • Custom Groove Support for Groove MIDI FX: Transfer custom groove templates via USB Host for use in the Groove MIDI effect.

    • Bank Select for MIDI Program Changes: Clips can specify Bank (MSB) and Sub-Bank (LSB) values.

    • Melodrift: A scale-aware, stochastic pattern generator for Melody track type.

    • Breakout Settings: Fixed an issue where breakout settings would not apply until a page change or reset after long idle periods.

    • Drum Swing: Fixed an issue where swing on Drum-type tracks was not applied uniformly.

    • Instrument Definitions Initialization: Fixed an issue where the community instrument-definition library would not populate during the update process.

    • Update Note: Users who experienced missing instrument lists after installing RLX 1.4.0 should update to 1.4.1 to restore instrument parameter mappings.

    • Drum Track Mode: 16 drum sounds — pitch and MIDI channel configurable per sound.

    • Drum Track Keys Page: 4×4 pad mapping with per-pad velocity and a repeater X/Y axis.

    • CV Automations: Tracks with CV outputs can now target Pitch, Velocity, and Control automation destinations (CVA, CVB).

    • Instrument Definitions: Any MIDI track can be assigned a specific instrument. CC destinations on automation lanes in LFO and ENVELOPE will list parameter names for the assigned instrument instead of raw CC numbers.

    • External MIDI P-Lock Entry: Holding a step and sending MIDI notes now sets pitch and velocity directly via MIDI input.

    • Track LEDs Indicate Pending States: Track buttons now blink when Mute, Solo, or Arm actions are queued.

    • Project Load Menu: Press any encoder above the project list to load the selected project.

    • Extended Note Durations: Notes can now span up to 16 bars, ideal for pads and ambient layers.
